Week of December 2 - 6, 2013

Friday HW
1.  Dictation on Monday.
2  Geometry Quiz 2.0:  Unit 3 Triangles, Angles and Polygons. Tuesday, December 10.
3.  Students should continue to gather research for their human illness research project.  I described the activity in detail in last week's blog (Week of  November 25-29).  We will be using an organizer to arrange the information starting tomorrow.
4.  Student Council food and toy drive starts tomorrow.  If students wish to bring money in I will buy canned goods on their behalf.
5.  Complete jot notes on a W5H chart I handed out today about an article you choose about Nelson Mandela.  Here is one to use if you are stuck on the Teaching Kids News website:

Thursday HW

Be sure to bring the completed work in the booklet and the ad back to school tomorrow.  
I have no extra copies of the booklet if you forget it at home.

Several students have missing or overdue books, some from more than a year ago.  Each of these students was informed of the book in question and a note appears in the agenda.  Please return or repay the book.  Students who think they handed the book(s) in question in already should visit Mr. Lisi and look on the shelves with him at his convenience.

Today was Homework Club.  We had nine students staying today.
Today was also Smarties Dreidel day, using the nets for dreidels that we made on Friday.  The students seemed to enjoy their play and sharing occurred at the end to ensure a fair amount was allotted for each player.
