Week of May 16 - 20, 2016

Thursday HW
1.  Props, costuming, for filming.  Tuesday will be the final day for filming.  That means the students have one 40 minute period left in which to film the scenes they want to use.  After today we've had approximately seven periods for each group to date, totaling eight periods by the end of Tuesday.  This seems like enough time when the groups had a story and story boards from which to work already.  Starting next Wednesday we will be making the movie using the clips each group has gathered (titles, transitions, credits, etc...) so that they will be ready for their world premieres in our class on Saturday, May 28 at the Centennial Fun Fair
2.  MMS 9.8

Wednesday HW
1.  The Story of Stuff project will begin the good copy phase early next week.  We have had several in-class periods for research, using technology resources, to this point.  If a student feels that he/she does not have sufficient notes to start a good copy Google Doc in class next week, then this would be the homework for tonight, tomorrow and the weekend.  I try to make as little impact as possible on home life with project work but this assignment might result in some extra effort for students who find they have not used their time as effectively as possible.
If students want to use photographs, those would have to be printed at home.  I would be happy to see hand-drawn work.  Models have been on display for three weeks showing just that sort of hand done work. Black and white photocopies can also work if they are coloured with marker or pencil crayon.
