8F Notes: This is homework for the grade 8 class I teach.
a) 20 minutes of reading.
b) We continued the characterization activity using two online videos (GI Joe and Barbie). The links and instructions are posted on the Google classroom, but the work is to be done on the paper handout. It is due in class on Tuesday, December 3. We also introduced a new group assignment using a short story. The topic was shared in class on a sheet with the expectations listed in detail.

a) 20 minutes of reading.
b) The Setting 1.0 sheet was our work today in class. Both sides should be complete by tomorrow's class. Highlighters were made available to students for the purposes of distinguishing significant setting words that would establish a mood - Yoho!
Monday HW

2. Final Patterning quiz on Unit 1, Lessons 3, 4, and 5 on Tuesday, November 26.
8F Notes: This is homework for the grade 8 class I teach.
a) 20 minutes of reading.
b) The Mood/Tone related assignment was shared on the Google Classroom. It is due on November 26. We looked at the final element of literature (Setting) again in class last week with reference to the trailer for "The Revenant" and then read another short story ("The Dinner Party") with a focus on setting in an activity sheet each student received. The sheet is NOT homework, and will be continued in class tomorrow.
