Thursday HW
1. MMS pages 54-55 and pages 56-57 are due for correction Tuesday. The students received time in class to get a good start on both.
2. Haiku good copy due next Friday. Introduced at length in class today and with plenty of modeling.
3. Choral reading of a poem due as an oral presentation next Thursday (moved from Friday).
4. Work continues this week on the (Human Development Index HDI) brochure. We've been using laptops and organizers I prepared to research a medium to low HDI nation and make a brochure on the PEPS categories. A due date will likely announced this week. I am looking at the middle or end of next week as a due date based on our class progress. The reason for the moving target is that I don't want the work to be a home project. I'd like to announce the due date when it looks like most kids will finish on time and in class.
5. Math Quiz on Unit 4, Lessons 6 and 7 on Wednesday February 21, 2018.

Monday HW
1. Math Quiz Unit 4, lessons 1 to 5. The quiz includes a section on adding and subtracting estimating, which has proven challenging for the class. We took a note on it and there are examples and models in the MMS HW book and the text book.
