Thursday HW
1. Students should bring a filled water bottle to class each day to help moderate unexpected heating issues in class and the general expected warming in class as Spring approaches.
2. MMS pages 132-33. Today we introduced a review of the measurement concept of Perimeter in chapter 9 of the text. We worked on pages 344-45 (#1,2 4-8).
3. The Space Free Verse poem is due tomorrow for printing. We also completed two poetry activities on similes and metaphors.
4. 20 minutes of reading to prepare for the next and final book report.

2. MMS pages 82-83. Today we corrected 24 h clock homework from Tuesday We also worked on practice questions from the text on page 211 (#1-4) and corrected those also
3. We checked the the Space Free Verse poem in class, and typed it in class. If it is not done, students should ensure they check the Google Classroom, finish it and turn it in for printing. We also read selections on Messages in Myths from the "Tales" book and completed page 1 of the matching booklet

We did a Period Zero activity on Collaboration with the class this morning. There is no homework attached to that.

In view of this, I want to reiterate that students should bring a filled water bottle to class each day to help moderate unexpected discomfort like this and the general expected warming in class as Spring approaches.
2. MMS pages 80-81. Today we worked on page 208 # 1 to 4 on Time Zones. New MMS booklets on Measurement were also handed out and the old ones on Number Sense collected.
3. Do some research on the space word you selected today for your Space Free Verse poem, so that you can write it tomorrow in class. This is the final poetry writing activity. There are some analysis activities left before our Poetry Cafe.

3. Unit 4, Lessons 10, 11, 12 math quiz on Friday, March 8 (Multiplying and Dividing Decimals). Students that are absent for this quiz will have make it up during extra help times after the break. No class time is available for make-up test time.
4. Test packs, which were due Feb. 27, have still not been handed in by eight students -- about a quarter of the class. This is a Learning Skill opportunity.
